Hi, my name is Shelby and I am a beautiful, blue, female Weim with a glorious long tail! As you can see in my glamour shots, I have just a touch of grey on my muzzle for that sophisticated look. I am a pretty laid back girl and I am ready for a forever home, preferably in the country with a fenced in yard where I can sniff around and get some exercise. The leash is not my favorite thing and I am not very keen on meeting strange new dogs. I get along really with my foster brother though, so I can be social with the right companion! I can free roam in the house while you are gone, and I will not make a mess. I also do OK in a crate, but I will bark for a while after you leave. I do love to check out the kitchen counters though, so if you leave snacks out I might help myself. My foster parents have discouraged this behavior, so I do know that it it not approved behavior. I just cannot help myself sometimes! I love to cuddle on the couch if you will let me, but I am perfectly content making a nest on the floor and relaxing there too. I have super soft ears and love it when they are scratched. One of my favorite treats are ice cubes! If you are getting something to drink, do not be surprised if I am waiting patiently for one! I should probably not be in a home with cats or other small animals, because I have a very strong prey drive and I LOVE to chase them! I like older kids very much, but I do not do well around very young children because I am not very graceful and they might get hurt if I step on them or accidentally knock them over. I have a stronger attachment to my foster mom and follow her around the house, but I also love to cuddle after dinner with my foster dad so he can pet my ears! I really need a strong owner who understands dominance. While I would like to think that I should be in charge, I need you to be my number one! Because I had a bunch of puppies when I was younger I am on a daily medication to help with some minor bladder leakage. It is pretty inexpensive though and I have not had any problems since I have been on it! So what do you say? Will you be my number one?
